The history of Prapopoulos Bros S.A. takes us back more than a hundred years. Its was in 1886 when George & Konstantine Prapopoulos started manufacturing knapsack sprayers, pins, aluminum kitchen utensils and small gas cookers. The original company started gradually to grow and in 1923 it became an anonymous company (societe anonyme).

We have always kept a close look at the rapid technological advances and since the early 60's the company has developed new motorized sprayers and ten years later it introduced plastic knapsack sprayers to complement the traditional copper knapsack sprayers.

During 1977 a major turn point took place. It was the year when the company relocated itself onto new premises covering 2,500 sq.m. on a 11,000 sq.m. private site in the outskirts of the city of Patras. In 1986 another step forward was made by the introduction of information technology into the managerial operations of the company.

By the end of the 1990's we had extended our product range with the EUROTANK stainless steel (INOX) tanks and the EUROGARDEN range of garden tools. A bit later, the amateur winemaker had a reason to be happy since equipment covering the whole winemaking lifecycle was introduced.

Prapopoulos has established a strong name in the Greek and international market as a leading supplier of agricultural equipment. The name " Prapopoulos " implies strength, quality and tradition.

The key to success

The company operates under a continuous improvement scheme.

The extension and automation of production and assembly lines by means of new technology is a never-ending process.

Employees are continuously educated and trained and are also urged to contribute to the Prapopoulos think-tank at all times.

Old products are regularly updated and improved to keep up to pace with customer and market demands.

New products are introduced after being undergone careful design phases, in-house testing and customer satisfaction reviews.

The export power

A vital source of power is the multilateral export presence of the company in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Parallel to this, the company participates in leading international trade fairs, namely Agrotica in Thessaloniki-Greece and EIMA in Bologna-Italy.
